Sunspore Bud Vase

A small hand-made ceramic bud vase with a rounded slightly squat shape and a narrow opening at the top. The vase has a pale yellow color with dark speckles and a subtle, uneven texture, giving it a rustic and artisanal appearance. The roses are some that I have growing in the back yard.

I made this piece to remind myself (and others) that beauty can be quiet. That form can center us. Its rounded, and grounded form suggests breath, a slow inhale, a held exhale, calmness. It’s a reminder that in a world of overstimulation and spectacle, there’s radical power in creating something that is humble, human, and whole.
